Creating Awareness of the Plight of Big Cats
An important part of what our team believes in at Captured In Africa, is the ability to change perceptions and raise awareness of the plight of Big Cats – Conservation Awareness through the Lens.
In order to better protect such magnificent species as Leopards, Lions, Cheetah and even Tigers – either in India or exploited captivity environments in Africa – tourists and safari-goers can play a huge role.
Think about this;
For every Lion killed by a hunter, the same amount of revenue created by that one hunt, would be seen within 6 months of non-hunting tourism, shooting only with your camera. Now multiply that by the many safari goers visiting that same Lion and we have huge sums of revenue being ploughed into local conservation work to protect habitat and wildlife.
…and of course we would rather see these iconic species alive… and this is where you as a traveller and safari goer can help, simply by visiting our beautiful continent, taking nothing but photographs and taking away fantastic memories.
Thank you for helping us create Conservation Awareness
